John Dobson – Formula Growth Investment Room

This lab was founded in 2000 with the mission of using industry tools and live financial software, by providing students practical knowledge of the markets and equipping them with a competitive edge in their careers.

The lab is home to 10 Bloomberg Terminals and a total of 26 regular PCs. As well as having more than 17 databases and eight specific software the John Dobson – Formula Growth Investment Room is ideal to answer researchers and students’ needs.

The lab is an area where students can come to apply what they learn in classes. From creating their own models, running their own portfolio, or finish an assignment, this is the place to go. Professors and teachers may also use the room to improve the teaching experience.

Centre for Instructional Technology

CIT is the unit responsible for providing all levels of support for the school's IT services. These can be categorized as technical support, educational technology, systems services, and Research dataset support.

Our building

The John Molson School of Business building (MB) is the dynamic green centre of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (JMSB). This architecturally stunning 37,000-square-metre 15-storey landmark boasts a distinctive design that incorporates bright atriums, modern classrooms, several networking spaces, a 300-seat auditorium, six amphitheatres and two basement levels that link it to neighbouring buildings and to the metro system. The building was awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver level certification by the Canada Green Building Council.

RO Wills Computer Lab

The RO Wills Computer Lab is available exclusively to JMSB undergraduate students. Its many computers provide students with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and other software used by courses in the commerce program. High quality laser printers are available on a fee per use basis to provide you with black and white or colour printing. Debit cards for the printers are easily obtained in either the Hall or LB buildings. Students also have access to a scanner. The lab is open year round and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Lab monitors are always present and can help you with any technical issues that may arise.

Study space

The Molson Building has 44 private study rooms, 3 large designated open study areas and 8 open relaxation/study areas for your use as a student

John Dobson – Formula Growth Trading Room

Open to all students, the John Dobson – Formula Growth Trading Room has dozens of Bloomberg computer stations. A lab monitor will be on duty at all times to assist you with any questions
