Land and building
The Institute's campus is built over an area of 9 acres of land with a total covered area of 343,766 square yards and is comprised of separate buildings housing College of Business Management, College of Computer Science & Information Systems and College of Economics and Social Development. Other building include Administration Block, state of the Art Student Activity Centre including faculty and management cafeteria, fully equipped gymnasium and other indoor games student cafeteria and in house sports facilities, Library building with a facility to house over one hundred thousand books and journal and other communal facilities. A plot of six acres land has been acquired for future expansion where it is proposed to construct a building for Engineering College, Vocational Training Centre, Faculty and Staff Housing and other facilities. The entire campus is fully furnished and centrally air-conditioned. There are 98 class rooms of 25X30 sqr.feet for forty students with equipped with multi- media facilities and sound system and separate seminars halls, and auditorium. Standby power supply arrangements has been provided in addition to regular power supply net work. A dispensary with qualified doctors and para medical staff has also been provided. The book value of the lands aggregates to Rupees 357.408 million and buildings Rs.498.712 million.
Equipment
Equipment includes Generators, LT Panels, Electric appliances including air condition net work systems, Student Activity Centre's equipment, furniture and fixtures computers, office equipment, photocopiers and vehicles. The book value of the equipment aggregates to Pakistani Rupees.293.337 million.
The IoBM library has been established with the primary aim of supporting the teaching, learning and research activity at IoBM, by providing a conducive learning environment for study and research, by making available the library resources, and by actively facilitating the use of library collection and services to its members. It has over twenty thousand resources including books, Reference material, and forty six subscribed journals and Business Magazines in print, and access to electronic databases and journals through Higher Education Commission Digital Library and JSTOR on subscription. The library has two large Reading Halls and provides sixty PCs with Internet access, where members login with their own accounts and access the electronic journals. Library has an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), installed at the front desk for students and faculty to do book searching. OPAC is also installed in the Circulations area. There is Catalogue of Audio visual resources where students and faculty can search for Audio visual materials. Library Orientations and skills training sessions are held throughout the year for students and faculty. The books collection is developed on the Recommendations of faculty members to meet courses and program requirements. Professional development of library staff is encouraged based on needs assessment. The book value of the books and journals amounts to Rs.15.505 million.
Information Technology Equipment
The Institute of Business Management has a state of art computer infrastructure, comprising computer laboratories, extensive networks - both LAN and WIFI, class room aïds including projection systems for présentations and tacher' lectures, protals for surdents and faculty use and information, online registration systems, etc.
The Institute has a purpose built Collège of Computer Science and Information Systems with six computer laboratories having over two hundred personal computers for surdents use, including a Hardware Laboratories where specialized educational facilites are available.
The Campus has an extensive network - both LAN and WIFI for convenience of faculty and surdents alike. This enables our user to easily access information from anywhere especially using our state of the art WIFI connectivity.
The entire Institute's class room have both audio visual aïds for présentations as well as use by the faculty as teaching aïds. This help easily illustrâtes concepts with the aïd of visual, basides communicating in a more advanced and friendly environment.
The Institute has developed portal, accessible from anywhere in the world, for the convenience of faculty and surdents' body to easily communicante with each other and with the administration of the Institute. Other than communication, these portal are also extensively used for online registrations, viewing and updating grades, etc.
