A research powerhouse
At HEC Lausanne, we believe that research and teaching are complementary and mutually beneficial. We use our research to enrich and strengthen our teaching, while ensuring that our impact goes beyond the classroom. Our research fosters a clearer understanding of the economic world and ultimately helps business leaders and policy makers make carefully considered decisions.
At the heart of a key European business cluster
HEC Lausanne is part of an incredibly dynamic region made up of global headquarters for multinational companies, research centers, technological parks and numerous SMEs and start-ups. This leads to strong relationships between the school and the business world, including collaboration on research projects, consulting activities and internships and jobs for our students and alumni.
Linked to over 10,000 alumni
Students can start building their professional networks immediately with the 10,000+-strong alumni network of HEC Lausanne. The alumni association facilitates communication between past and present students to help build careers, exchange ideas and create a trans-generational sense of community.
A global campus
Over half the teaching staff and a third of the student body come from abroad, making HEC Lausanne one of the most international business schools in Europe. Moreover, exchange programs allow students to study abroad at over 100 partner universities.
Faculty and student interaction
Through interactive courses, projects, and events, HEC fosters exchanges, both formal and informal, between its 3,000 students and 300 researchers (including 85 full-time professors).
An interdisciplinary matrix
As a faculty of UNIL, HEC Lausanne is an integral and geographical part of the biggest university campus in Switzerland. Easy access to the other faculties and to the EPFL stimulates interdisciplinary collaboration and promotes new ideas and ways of thinking.
A business school open to all
With its fantastic teaching and student resources, HEC Lausanne is one of the most respected business schools in the public sector. Thanks to the financial commitment and backing of the Canton of Vaud and UNIL, the school is accessible to all, regardless of means.
