    Housing Facilities

    AUC provides housing for relocated faculty as well as students who wish live in university residences.

    AUC residence life is designed to be a seamless extension of the overall university experience.

    Faculty and student resident assistants regularly organize educational, cultural, social and community service activities.

    The residences are entirely air-conditioned, and offer many facilities, including a computer lab, cafeteria, study room, wireless high speed internet access, TV with satellite channels and VCR and exercise equipment.

    Each room has a high-speed internet connection and phones for making local calls or receiving international calls.

    Free housekeeping services and laundry of bed linens are provided. There is also 24-hour security and a part-time clinic staffed by a physician.

    The International University Consortium for Executive Education

    The School of Business is a member of UNICON, is a global consortium of business-school-based executive education organizations. Its community of member organizations is engaged in accelerating the development of leaders and managers, thereby enhancing performance in public and private organizations globally, through executive development initiatives.

    UNICON’s primary activities include conferences, research, benchmarking, sharing of best practices, staff development, recruitment/job postings, information-sharing and extensive networking among members, all centered around the business and practice of executive education.

       

    European Foundation for Management Development

    The School of Business is affiliated with the European Foundation for Management Development. (EFMD). EFMD is an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium. With more than 700 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 82 countries, EFMD provides a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. EFMD is recognized globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education and has established accreditation services for business schools and business school programs, corporate universities and technology-enhanced learning programs.
       
    Association of African Business Schools

    The School of Business is a member of  The Association of African Business Schools (AABS). AABS was established in October 2005 with the objective of improving the capacity of business schools in Africa to deliver high quality management education. The association was initially supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) through the Global Business Schools Network program. Over the past two and a half years AABS has grown from a humble start into an organization that brings together 17 of the best business schools in Africa. The association has managed to implement numerous projects for member schools, established governance structures for effective management, and gained recognition as the preeminent membership organization for management education institutions in Africa.
       

    Principles for Responsible Management Education

    Principled for Responsible Management Education (PRME) is a voluntary-engagement platform for business schools and management-related academic institutions. Participation in PRME ensures that the school integrates the values of sustainability and social responsibility into learning and teaching, research and day-to-day operations. An academic institution that signs onto PRME expresses its conviction that academic institutions, through integrating universal values into curriculum and research, can contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market and help build prosperous and thriving societies.

    The Academy of Business in Society

    The Academy of Business in Society (ABIS) is a unique alliance of over 100 companies, business schools and academic institutions that – with the support of the European Commission – is committed to mainstreaming business in society issues into management practice, research and education.
       
     

     BoP Global Network

    The BoP Global Network was established in 2000 to bring together global leaders to share knowledge and disseminate information regarding the theory and practice of sustainable business at the base of the economic pyramid. Rather than using traditional aid methodologies to help the poor and improve their quality of life, it has established BoP Learning Labs that promote research and development of entrepreneurial business methods. These labs make up the BoP Global Network.

    The goal is to stimulate new enterprises that are economically competitive, environmentally sustainable and culturally appropriate. The BoP Global Network is now a vibrant community of academics and practitioners in 18 countries that engage in knowledge creation and dissemination on the theory and practice of sustainable businesses at the base of the economic pyramid.
    The School of Business joined the BoP Global Network as a member in 2014.
