College of Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), the first autonomous degree-granting unit within Khon Kaen University, was approved by the University Council in March 1997. Prior to the inauguration of CGSM the first batch of 60 MBA students enrolled at the faculty of Management Science Khon Kaen University in March 1994.
To be consistent and align with the National Higher Education Plan 4th ,as a high Education Institute, Khon Kaen University has policies to support developing Graduate Study and to meet the demand of the country and the region. The University Council approved CGSM plan to organize MBA programs at Bangkok Office in 2000.
With the ultimate goal to upgrade the administrative potential of the people in Thailand, CGSM commits to provide the educational opportunity at the graduate studies in management, to conduct and support research related to business and administration and to extend its role for community outreach.
As part of Khon Kean University, the University Council is the top governing body at the policy level of the whole university. At CGSM, the Board of Directors plays important roles as the policy board and the Executive Board governs CGSM at the operation level. The operation of CGSM is under the responsibility of the Director and Deputy Directors.

MBA programs currently offered at CGSM KhonKaen University and CGSM Bangkok Office are Young Executive program and Executive program. The programs are two years in duration and divided into four concentration areas

Executive MBA program is designed for those who wish to maintain their career responsibility as well as to enjoy their educational opportunity. All courses and other required activities are conducted during weekends. This course is well suited for talented and ambition managers, entrepreneurs and others with working experience who wish to gain knowledge and experience to broaden their potential with practical career development.
Young Executive MBA program is operated during weekdays, and exclusively designed for new university graduates or those with less working experience who can devote themselves for study at the full time basis. This course is designed for middle managers and young entrepreneurs

The MBA curriculum in general managements requires 39 credits. The program is divided into 2 plans; Plan A and Plan B. Plan A differs from Plan B on the numbers of credits for elective courses, independent case study and thesis.
