Welcome to the cradle of business administration,

I call our institution a cradle simply because the School of Business at Istanbul University was the first and only to be founded in Turkey in 1968. Our School, which has signed many firsts and thus thrown new grounds, has always been a leading institution, particularly by making the Institute of Business Economics, which was founded in 1954 and which started the first postgraduate education in the field of business administration in Europe, a major part of itself.

Our school offers various programs for different levels ranging from graduate, postgraduate, MBA to doctorate degrees that are in accordance with international standards. The indicators of quality culture are our school's own output, which is achieved by our widely experienced academic staff who keep illuminating our students as well as the world of business by producing prestigious publications. We also support ideas that encourage the mobility of students as well as that of the academic staff in the field of business education. As a matter of fact, we determine our policies collaborating with the International Advisory Board, which is an international network of outstanding experts.

Today's websites give us a clear message: 'Come closer and make yourself known clearly!',which means that the content of a website is of utmost importance since it should give precise and detailed information about an institution just the way our appearance and behaviour give an idea of who we are and what we are.

In a world where management approaches have to be transparent, it is essential to let our community, even those in the most remote corners, know, who we are, what we do and last but not least what our objectives are. Thus we have to publish the details of our institution in the best and fastest way, which makes the globalization of our institutions inevitable.

To conclude, I would like to point that by designing such a website emphasising all the ideas mentioned above, our aim is to make everyone know-the Turkish educational system and the business world in particular- how ambitious the Istanbul University School of Business is.
